John C. Pyle

President of Superior

Having over 30 years of experience in the metal industries, John C. Pyle is one of the newest members of the Superior team. His experiences in supply chain development, lean enterprise method and commercial engagement has enabled him to lead both private and corporate bases business to sustainable success that customers can count on. The company’s motto of Quality, Service and Dependability is the keystone of the Superior experience. Mr. Pyle's philosophy is to understand not just Superior's business, but your business as well, and the business models of Superior's suppliers to enable the development of lean manufacturing ENTERPRISE that meets the needs of the OEM market. Paul hook.

Paul C. Hook

Vice President of Operations

Paul C. Hook started at Superior as the CAD/CAM Manager back in December 1991. He used his die design, build and programming experience acquired at AutoDie LLC in Grand Rapids Michigan. Since then, he was promoted to Project Engineer, Plant Manager, General Manager and now serves as the VP of Operations. Mr.Hook received his education from Ferris State University in the study of Technical Tool Design, and received his apprenticeship in tool and die design and die build from his 5-year tenure at AutoDie.

Superior’s primary asset has always been its people: a very passionate, experienced and service-oriented group. Superior's employees' work ethic and dedication make Mr.Hook proud to be part of the Superior experience. Superior’s management is moving aggressively towards improved facilities, processes, and equipment. Those improvements will effectively allow the company to meet technology-focused business plans and future customers' needs.

Outside of work, Mr.Hook enjoys family time, fast cars, and University of Michigan sports. (Go Blue!)

Michael Mckevier

Michael F. McKeivier 

Chief Financial Officer

Michael F. McKeivier graduated from the University of Akron at Akron, Ohio with a B.S. in Accounting in 1984. He joined Superior in September 1984 as Assistant Controller responsible for the accounting functions at Superior. In 1986, he was part of Superior’s expansion from a 55,000 sq. ft. tool & die facility to our current 250,000 die, machine and metal stamping facility. In 1991, Mr.McKeivier was promoted to Controller and reported directly to the President. He was then promoted to CFO in 1994. He has over 37 years of experience to his present position of Chief Financial Officer.

Michael Bonczak

Michael D. Bonczak

Director of Commercial Operations

Michael Bonczak joined the Company on June 8 2021 as the Director of Commercial Operations. Mr. Bonczak came to the Company Core Molding Technologies a $300M manufacturer of composite and structural molding solution. Where he served as a Key Account Manager for the Heavy Truck Market-PACCAR, Daimler and Navistar from October 2017 to May 2021. Prior to Core Molding Technologies, Mr. Bonczak was employed by American Trim, a Tier 1 supplier of decorated metal products serving the appliance, automotive, heavy truck and industrial marketplace. Where he served as Senior Account Manager from 2012-2017. Prior to American Trim, Mr. Bonczak held various positions Senior Account Manager, Account Manager and Wiring Release Engineer at Nissin Kogyo, Nippon Seki and Delphi. Mr. Bonczak also served in the United Stated Marine Corps.

Brian D. Faine

Director of Quality

Brian Faine joined the Superior family in the fall of 2004, bringing along experience in blueprint reading, layout, inspection methods, CAD design and CNC programming. Brian’s prior experience in tool design, process improvements and machine setup allow him to address quality issues from a well-rounded and process-oriented viewpoint.

Brian’s career at Superior has included time at both our Fairwood and Marion facilities where he advanced from the quality auditor role into the Quality Manager position within the Marion facility, before becoming the Director of Quality. In all of these roles, he has always maintained a strong presence on the production floor, working with customers and the Superior production team to ensure our customers’ expectations are achieved. Brian looks forward to working with Superior’s associates and customers to constantly improve our internal processes and our services to our customers.
